A
All teachers teaching in the State of Nevada must be licensed in Nevada. A license can be obtained by application through the State Department of Education. The State of Nevada has a limited reciprocity agreement with some states. The State Department will issue a three-year, non-renewable license if provisions are necessary. All licensed teachers must also pass a Nevada State Law and Constitution Test.

A
The beginning salary for a teacher with a Bachelor's Degree is $34,506. The salary schedule tops out at $68,734 for a Master's plus 32 graduate credits. Teachers entering Churchill County School District may be allowed credit for outside K-12 teaching experience in public schools up to a maximum of five years on the salary schedule.
